“The
Healing of Harms”
Fireflight will be releasing their national debut album “The Healing of Harms” July 25th, 2006
via Flicker records. The Orlando based group has been waiting for the right deal to come along and it has. The band
has drawn influences from Evanescence but be prepared it is only an influence not a copy, Fireflight is a highly original
band. With killer vocals, great beats, hints of emo-core, modern rock, and progressive metal, this album is the real deal.
From the very start of the album Richardson shows her power
yet selfless vocals. “Waiting” the second song on the album has sweet guitar riffs and a very good message that
“….only God can handle the situation.” “Attitude” the 9th song talks something that
we all have experienced. It is about controlling the anger inside you and not letting it control you. The bands first single
off the album “You Decide” Richardson challenges you to base your decision on seeking God by Himself and not others
or situations you have been in before. The album will be launched onto CHR and Rock stations.
This is a great album! With the range in vocals by Richardson,
lyrically with it’s strong messages, and musically it is a bomb shell. Each song can stand on its own and each could
very easily be the first single. This is a must have album. I will be picking up mine July 27th.
