The very pop-rock sound of Treaty of Paris could take them far after hearing this album. Their debut album that hit stores September of 2007 should make a splash on the pop-rock charts. The album, which is released from Something’s Corporate Frontman Andrew McMahon, called Sweet Dreams, Sucker is a solid performance for the new band. They give that pop-rock sound, but with an added touch of some 50’s rock sprinkled throughout. With a big blast of huge riffs and catchy lyrics the songs just stick with you from start to finish. At first sight the name give enough to look into the band, or maybe its where they came from (Chicago) where other bands like Fall Out Boy, The Academy Is and Rise Against, is enough to give them a chance. Once you do give them a chance you will quickly have tracks stick with you. “Here Goes Nothing” the first track of the song is a pop groove with big hooks. “Waking Up The Dead” is a fun song that has an 80’s rock feel to it.  “Hello Nurse” is a fast pace guitar assault. The riffs in this song stood out to me and should you too. “State Tollway” has great vocals and lyrics. This track could catch on and be a great radio song. Overall it’s a pretty solid debut. Head over to their myspace page and check out a few songs, you will probably like what you here and go out and buy the album.
