Theory of a Deadman hits the records stores again with their latest album Scars and Souvenirs. The Canadian band that has been following the footsteps of a band that people might know Nickelback seems to be really following them with this album. With the bands third album now out and doing well including a spot on the newly releases WWE album, the band should be going no where but up. The first two albums, which went platinum in Canada and this one surly will do the same, has been doing better and better in the U.S with each album should reach close to platinum status in the U.S. too. The lead track, which was also the first single, “So Happy” is a killer track. With high flying sounds and great lyrics there is no doubt why it has gone to #2 on the U.S. main rock chart. “By the Way” is a slower track but still holds it’s own on the album. “Got it Made” is a catchy tune with an upbeat feel to it and should be fan favorite in person. “Not Meant to Be” should be one of the leading tracks off the album sooner or later. The heartfelt track pours it feelings outs to its listeners. It reminds me of a song that the girls will grab a hold and run with…i.e. (like Lips of an Angel did for Hinder). “Crutch” is an edgy track with its vocals and lyrics. “All or Nothing” which seems to be the in the lead for the second single, is another spectacular song. It is just like “Meant to Be,” it pours its heart out in a desperate attempt to get its girl back. “Bad Girlfriend” will be an awesome track live. It has this energy too it, not to mention some kick ass lyrics. It’s a super catchy tune and the title leads you into a different direction than the song itself. “Little Smirk” is another super catchy track. It has great guitar riffs sprinkled throughout and a great beat. “End of the Summer” is another heartfelt track. Saying goodbye to everything good that summertime brings is tough and the track is a nice way to look at it. “Sacrifice” puts a nice ending to this album. It’s a superb effort by Theory and should take them to places that many bands just dream of. The band has come along way from their debut album in the writing the songs. The lyrics have always been catchy and they just add another little edge to them. Even non Theory fans will like this album and fans will absolutely love it.
