The Lives of Famous Men’s newest EP “Modern Love, The Wooden Vehicle” is nothing short of intriguing.
The Portland
band may be onto something. “Annie Taylor,” is a catchy coffee shop and movie ready tune. It mixes the vocals
and music brilliantly. The addition of the keys makes the song more upbeat and catchy than it already is. “Chandeliers
and Piano Keys” showcases Dan’s vocals with an amazing mixture behind him. This tune is also Hollywood equipped.
Finally, “Notes From a Cult Classic,” is really upbeat, with the keys setting the tempo. Throughout most of this
song the focus seems to be on the keys, but seem to disappear from time to time just to come back with an even stronger influence.
This is a nice 3 song set of the “Famous Men” or should I say soon to be? All three of the tracks could easily
make their way into the movies as a back ground to a tender love/first kiss moment. Is a full LP in the works? It them up
at their myspace page and ask.
