Strata hits the music world again with a new developed style and a switch of genres. The major overhaul of their style will be immediate dividends in the amount of albums they sell and air play that get. While their last effort wasn’t a huge success, this one (The End Of The World) might prove to be the bands turning point into an indie rock success.  On “The End of the World” Strata shows how much they matured. “Nights Fall,” sound to me like it would fit into a movie well. Hot/Cold (Darling Don’t) and “Love is Life has really clear vocals. “The Brothers” and “Natoma Alley” shows off the talent of Strata as they are only music. “Cocaine (We’re All Going to Hell),” “Stay Young,” and “The New National Anthem” prove this album with a combination of powerhouse songs. They all offer something different, but they are the stars of the album. “Cocaine,” is an upbeat, catchy song that mentions sex and drugs. “Stay Young” has good vocals and music. It also has very deep lyrics that you have to listen to over and over. “The New National Anthem” will hit home for a lot of people, I know it has to me. The message is a very true one no matter what political party you are in. I normally don’t like political songs, but this one is different just take a listen and you will see why.  Overall this album is pretty good. It probably won’t hit huge on the chats, but this is a great step for Strata on their way to rock success.
