            Silence of a Silhouette, hailing from the Hall of Fame city of Rock, bust out of the gates with their new EP “Escaping Reality”. The band which formed in 2004 has signed with Metrohouse Management. Silence Of a Silhouette just worked with Cole Martinez (Dave Matthew’s Band, Between Home And Serenity) on their first official EP. The EP begins with a track named “Pandora’s Box.” It starts the album off with a blast with riff work and coinciding drum beat. With crisp clear vocals and backing vocals the track blends well, but with a familiar sound until the screams come in to spruce it up. “The Flavor” introduces a heavy does of key as the song progresses. It also adds the screams throughout the track along with backing vocals, as though they are battling. “Goodbye Sunshine” begins the middle section of the album with a blast of music. It again displays the bands talent, clear vocals, mixing of screams within the track. “Give Me A Sign” is a simple track with a lot of passion sprinkled throughout the track. “One Eye Closed” is an upbeat track with a lot of enthusiasm and mixture of different vocal types. “Making Things Worst” brings the EP to an end. The track includes nicely mixed vocals once again and riff work. In many parts Danny’s vocals seem to be the focus of the track with a sweet sounding guitar in the background. Overall this is a decent EP. The last track is a bit too long between the end and the other thing. Some of the sound is out there already, but the additions of the screams among other things spice it up slightly. A bit more ripping and roaring may be need in spots to spice it up even more. The talent and drive is there, some more growing as a band should blossom this silence silhouette into some lime light and then they can steal more of that spotlight.
