WOW! That’s the only thing that I can say. I have to say that Schoolyard Heroes has just blown me away and kicked
my ass. This band from Seattle has put out albums before, but this is the first on Stolen Transmission label. This
is an incredible album to listen to and like I said before they blew me away. The musical talent that the band is astonishing!
They play fast, they play hard, and Ryann’s voice sets everything off. The album starts off with a bang. “Dude
Where’s My Skin?” has amazing vocals and music. You get a taste of what you will hear all album long. They also
added in great sound effects, although I’m not fond of the lyrics. The first single “Cemetary Girls” is
the third track of the CD. It’s a bit long, but offers listeners outstanding guitar play. This song will also be a great
live song. “Violence is All the Rage,” is a pretty cool sounding tune. The vocals and music are both solid. The
seventh track, “Razoreblad Kisses,” is breathtaking. Ryann’s range on this song will leave you in awe. All
the other songs have just as much to them as the ones they were listed. This is a very solid album from Schoolyard Heroes
and I myself am going to have to go get their others as well, because I’m that intrigued with them.
