Saliva
House of Blues
Cleveland, Oh
March 9th, 2009
A little over a year ago we had the privilege of sitting down with Josey of Saliva and talking to him for
a few minutes. After that we went in and watched them tear the stage up, blasting some new tones from “Love Story”
and the old classics of “Click Click Boom”, “Always,” and “Your Disease.” The show was
great, loud, and left you craving more. This time around they just released another new album “Cinco Diablo” hitting
stores in Decmeber of ’08 and has been embarking on tour after tour. This stop in Cleveland was with fellow rockers
Shinedown. The show started with a bang as they blow the crowd away with the entrance. The 5 devils took the stage with all
the energy that they had in them and poured it out over the duration of their time on stage that night.
Joesy
manned the stage front and center moving slightly from time to time to one side or the other, while his distinct vocals soared
through the air. The guitars rumbled as the drums pounded to your heartbeat. The crowd was singing along the entire time nearly
overcoming Josey’s vocals. Everyone on the floor was jumping up and down, head banging, and thrashing about as the seats
on the second level didn’t have many butts sitting on them as the sold out crowd was getting what they came for. Josey
acknowledged the local radio station for blasting their newest tunes all over the airwaves while mixing in the great old tracks
as he told the crowd to keep up the intensity and they will be back to rock Cleveland again. Every time Saliva comes to town
you can bet that I’m there, they just but on such a great show and their set list keeps growing to include: Click Click
Boom, Always, Ladies and Gentlemen, Broken Sunday, My Own Worst Enemy and closing with Your Disease and many more.
Rating: 9/10
Best Part: Set List,
energy, presentation
Worst: A bit too much
of the strobe lighting this time around
