Raintime opens up this album with a hard and heavy feel and stays that way throughout the entire album. “Flies and Lies” is a very good showing for the band and I really shouldn’t be surprised because of who their label is. Bieler Bros continues to find these diamond in the rough bands throughout the world and bring them to household names or close to anyways. This is another example of it. I was scared at first when the first thing I heard was screams/growls. If I had any complaint with this album it would be the scream, but it was well mixed in with the other vocals so I really didn’t mind them too much. “Rolling Chances,” the second track of the CD, is another outstanding song. It just gets you into the song and you want to break shit. Another oddity song “Beat It,” a remake of Michael Jackson’s song is strangely good. This is an awesome album that everyone needs to at least listen to. I can see them on OzzFest or a tour like that in coming years.
