Papa Roach
“The Paramour Sessions”
Jacoby Shaddix—Vocals
Jerry Horton—Guitar
Tobin Esperance—Bass
Dave Buckner—Drums
Papa Roach has found their nitch. With
the bands forth album “Getting Away With Murder” they hit their stride and “The Paramour Sessions”
kept right up with it. This album, which is in stores right now, has the high energy that we have come to expect for the guys.
However, there are a few personal slower songs. I hesitate to say “slower” because they are slow, but slow for
Papa Roach. They remind me of “Scars” of GAWM. When listening to the album you can feel power and energy waiting
to explode. They also add a mystical side too. Shaddix summed it up like this… “Every experience we could experience
as a group of people, we experience in that house.” “…. [T]he house has a spirit about it that was bigger
than us.” This is one of the most dynamic albums I have ever heard. They touch all the emotions with the lyrics and
you can sense it in the music as well. Musically the album is sound. The drum play and the guitar riffs are solid and hard
hitting. All around this album is great. “The Paramour Sessions” could easily be one of the best albums to hit
stores this year.
The album runs 48:24.
