The Heroin Diaries - Soundtrack
Nikki
Sixx, DJ Ashba, and James Michael
Nikki Sixx’s addiction is well recognized in the world of rock and roll, but what if there is even more that
we all don’t know about. Sixx is set to release the rest of the secrets in his “Heroin Diaries,” due
out September of ’07. He also has come with a soundtrack to the book. A soundtrack to a book, you are asking yourself.
Well yes there is an album that goes along with his book. This album takes you inside his mind and shows you want he was thinking,
rather than what you think of the entry. This gives reader an opportunity to see/read what he meant instead of what the reader
“thinks” he meant.
The album starts off with a unique track. “X-mas in Hell” starts off with Nikki talking then goes into
the song. In fact this is not the only time he starts a song of or even comes in talking in a middle or end of a song. The
second track “Van Nuys,” is a solid song that will kick your ass. It has great music and good vocals. The forth
track, “Pray for Me,” has some amazing guitar work and great vocals. “Heart Failure,” which is the
9th track, Nikki is talking again. Right when he stops the song hits your ears and it is another incredible tune.
This album defiantly sets the mood for people to get that book. I know I’m getting me a copy and reading it from cover
to cover. These combo (which would be great if they sold them together) is a must have. It is for any rock and roll fan, old
or new, 80’s, 90’s or now. The album alone will kick your ass.
