My Chemical Romance

Wolfstein Center

Cleveland, Oh

February 26th, 2007

The show started off with a bang. Gerald came out on a hospital bed and the show never let up. The first part of the show they came out as The Black Parade. The music was loud and the vocals fairly clear. There were only a few instances that you couldn’t hear the words. The backdrop was great. It wasn’t a normal backdrop that everyone is use to seeing; it shifted to suit the song that was being played. MCR then took a break, changed cloths, and came out and rocked all over again. The second set of songs they played as My Chemical Romance instead of The Black Parade. It was the hard hitting Sweet Revenge style.

The performance was great! Stage presence was off the chart. All of the extra stuff such as pyrotechnics, balloons, confetti, and backdrops were incredible. There were 3 drum sets set up, on a rotating stage and it was one of the best parts of the show. There were a few things that I didn’t like. One was how sexual Gerard was onstage. The major issue with me was the fact that they were going by two different names. As I said they were The Black Parade the first half of the show and then called themselves My Chemical Romance the second part. I didn’t like them promoting themselves as two different bands.

Rating: 7.5/10

Best Part: Pryo/drums

Worst: 2 different names
