Melee’s upbeat sound will make its way into the Hollywood spotlight. Their new album shouldn’t take long to take off. The piano driven
rock with the added touch of a little goofball charm mix in will take over your head and spread everywhere else. At first
listen one might think that the band is all about religious rock, but once you listen closer you can tell it’s telling
us much more. The tracks all have one thing in common and that is that upbeat tempo that will fit perfectly in the movies.
The very first track, “Built to Last,” shows this. The track, which is actually one of the slower songs, has this
quality to it. “Frequently Baby,” has huge hooks, riffs and a huge piano driven sound. This is one of the catchiest
songs that I have ever heard. “Imitation,” has an amazing beginning and it moves throughout the song. There is
a great riff that is featured a few times in the song. “You Got” has the same thing in it. “You Make My
Dreams,” shows the catchy goofball side of the guys. Overall this isn’t an album that I normally wouldn’t
go out and buy, but it is an album that any pop-rock fan should get. You will be hearing some of Melee in the movies sooner
than later.
