Megan McCauley

Better Than Blood

Megan McCauley might just be the next great Rock and Roll woman. With label mate, Amy Lee, having such a big part of the music world watching her she might have a running mate now. The outspoken Ohioan (Go OHIO!!!), has appeared on many soundtracks such as “Fantastic Four” and “Elektra.” This time though she gets an album all to herself. “Better Than Blood” features a variety of sounds from normal rock to emo, razor and punk. This mixture lets everyone enjoy the album. “Fragile,” displays Megan’s voice as well as some great music. The track really sticks with you and should make its way onto a national scene. “Reverie,” which was on the Fantastic Four soundtrack, is a song that most of us should know, if we seen the movie. “Tap That,” is an explosive song that will take you to new heights. It’s an amazing song that is sexy and scandal filled. It was a great choice for single #1. “Wonder” rounds off a solid middle of the album. This too was on a soundtrack. The third section of songs on the album, are also good. This section is topped off with an excellent “Porcelain Doll.” The song shows off Megan’s voice to an extreme. The center of the song is certainly the vocals. Overall this is a great debut album for the young woman. The powerful vocals and dynamic sounds that she offers to listeners will stay for a very long time. The vocals will leave you breathless and the music wanting to break something.
