Linkin Park headed back on road for another installment of the Projekt Revolution tour after their release of Minutes to Midnight late in 2007. It was the first time that the PR tour stopped in the UK. The star studded list of performers entertained the giant crowd until it was the headliners turn. They ripped up the stage in Milton Keynes. The 22 song set list is one of the longest ones I have ever seen and while 18 made it on the CD portion you get to see all 22 in some form or another on the DVD. They left on track in the normal set list while adding in the other 3 as single, hidden tracks. The show begins with “One Step Closer and continues with other big hits such as “Given Up,” Breaking the Habit,” and “In the End.” They also toss in a few tracks from Fort Minor and the Collision Course with Jay-Z. What makes it even better is that Jay-Z himself not only was one of the opening acts, but also came on and sang “Numb/Encore” and “Jigga What/Faint” with the guys. LP then finished up the show with “Bleed It Out” The CD portion of the set sounds great. There are hardly any blemishes through the entire set. The mixing and mastering are well done with great quality. It’s very easy to hear both Mike and Chester through all of the instruments as well as the crowd. You can also hear them as the battle and compliment each other during many of the songs. Rob’s drums pound super hard as Brad and Phoenix’s performances are just as good as the ones on the other albums. The DVD portion is the big ticket here. Its sound and picture quality is superb. I viewed in not only on my computer, but also on a 42 inch flat scene to see if the quality changed at all and it didn’t. The sound was incredible as you can plainly hear all of the instruments as they zoom up on them and back off. The cameras do get a bit bouncy once and a while, but you can handle that. They were a lot louder than I anticipated, but that made the DVD even better. The up close and personal shots of the members are very clear and lets the view get a good look at them playing up close. This is the only way you will ever get this close to them as they play as even the front rows were pretty far back. LP was able to get he crowd into them as soon as the first note was played and during their mini break towards the end of the show the concert goers were chanting for them to come back on. This was a very intense show as I’m sure most of the shows are, but the camera work and mastering of the film makes it an even better viewing experience. Its an A+ job by all parties involved and I hope that we can see more shots like this one on this big of a scale. I also hope that fans get to be apart of something like this once in their concert careers. This is a must have for all Linkin Park fans as well as anyone that was at that show, you might just be on film!
