Fall Out Boy, which seems to just keeps going and going like the energizer bunny, releases a new “Live” album from last years Honda Civic tour. The album features 15 tracks and a bonus DVD with footage of the show, 9 videos and behind the scenes action. The CD offers an array of hits and off the wall antics that Fall Out Boy are known for. I have to say that the CD portion of the set is very nicely put together. The music is not distorted as many of these turn out. The crowd is very loud and you know that they are enjoying their special time with the band. Some of the songs it’s hard to hear the vocals, but what concert doesn’t have that. There are also spots that the vocals seem really far away. There are also explosions that disrupt the listening pleasure on the album. I have to say that although they place on display all of their greatest work on this album that the album itself would not stand alone. The DVD is where most of the greatness is. Actually seeing the show is so much better than just listening to it and of course everyone that was at the show would want a copy to try and see them selves on it. The DVD offers up the same great sound of the CD, but with the adding enjoyment of actually seeing what is going on. The pyro is a hundred times better when it is visible; the crowd seems crazier than they sound. The additions of the music videos and the behind the scenes footage is just an added incentive for getting this album. CD/DVD combo of the show will look great in any Fall Out Boy Collection. People that do not like them probably won’t buy it, but those who are on the fence about them should take a close look at the album. Also, the version of “Beat It” was actually surprising. Patrick nailed most of the vocals.
