What is better than three albums from the Chicago band Disturbed, how about a forth studio album from them. Released in June of 2008 Indestructible is the third consecutive #1 release. It also was confirmed that they are going to hit the road to support the newest album by begin on the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival tour throughout the summer. The band is currently working on their third single off the album not wasting any time getting them out for the world to hear. The title track leads off the album with sirens, explosions, guns, and helicopter (sound familiar?) It is perfectly put together as the guitars feed off the drums, the drums flow with the vocals and the vocals go hand and hand with the guitar. The lyrics are perfectly worded and flow brilliantly. “Inside the Fire” begins with a great laugh and quickly enters a jam session with amazing vocals especially the chorus. It is so damn catchy it sticks with you for days after just one listen. “Deceiver” enters after the first 2 powerhouses. It is very dark sounding in the beginning then transitions into a rhythm that sounds sort of like Metallica for a bit, but goes back into the Disturbed mode. “The Night” turns down the volume on the amount of screaming and in the music. It’s still harder than most of the bands out their but to disturbed it’s like a slow track. The second single, “Perfect Insanity,” spins off 5th. It offers up soaring guitars, a heavy drum presents and snarling vocals. “Haunted” ends the first half of the album with a dark sounding yet extremely catchy with its lyrics and pounding drums. “Enough” spins off 7th with its blend of metal verses and the melody sounding chorus as “The Curse” is lined with brilliant guitars and the should be patient Draiman laugh/grunt. “Torn” has an absolute breathtaking guitar solo that is blended towards the end with the drums, while “Criminal” will grab you and bash your head in. It’s defiantly has the live energy and would be a great live track because of it. “Divide” is a super fast and infectious track that will get into you and make your body do all sorts of metal things. The lyrics are really cool so take a look them as well. “Facade” ends the album with the same great sound that we all have become to love and appreciate from Disturbed. Although its not that stand out finishing move that they seem to deliver, as Mortal Kombat finishing move if you will. That is one of the very few things that the album lacks. Overall, Disturbed blows down walls with this latest release. Indestructible is a masterpiece simply and everyone should have it in their collection. I thought it would almost impossible to come close to Ten Thousand Fists, but they found away. I have never got the chance to see them live and with each and every album they put out for the masses makes me want to call off everything and go see them. It’s a must have!!!
